High five for Nkangala Athletic Academy athletes who won medals at the Cross Country Interprovincial Championships
Four medals are hanging in eMalahleni after the Cross Country Interprovincial Championships.

Nkangala Athletic Academy (NAA) claimed four medals – two gold and two bronze and KwaGuqa Academy claimed a gold medal in the Cross Country Interprovincial Championships.
The championships were hosted by Athletic Gauteng North in
Zonderwater Prison Training College in Cullinan on Saturday, June 4.
Jetro Sithole 34+ and Vukani Maphumulo 40+ claimed gold medals, Emmanuel Mabaso 40+ bronze in 8km male category, Cindy Simelane a bronze medal in 10km female senior category, and Tumisho Mabelane of KwaGuqa Academy consolidate with a gold medal in boys’ u.8.
“It was a great test of strength before the South African Championships; we had 34 athletes representing consisting of 21 young athletes in development phase and 12 new recruits representing Mpumalanga province for the first time. We managed some top 5 spots in absentia of 6 medal contenders who missed thr qualifying race due to financial challenges. The top five finishers are: Thapelo Mogoje, Senethemba Mdlalose, Zakhele Mathebula and Amohelang Kgaile,” said Emmanuel ‘Shaper’ Mabaso, Nkangala Athletic Academy chairperson.
The highlight of the day was when Emmanuel grabbed his fourth inter-provincial medal.
