Delivery is not a job you want to do in Vosman

Police are looking for suspects targeting delivery vans in Vosman.

If you are delivering a parcel or bread in Vosman, you are not safe.

On June 8 at 14:00 a man was delivering a parcel at a shop on the corner of Kotane and Eastdene Streets in Vosman when he was robbed.

The man told police that he was preparing for his next delivery when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men was apparently armed and pointed a firearm at the driver.

He was apparently instructed to open the door which gave the alleged robbers a gap to get into the vehicle.

The driver told police that they drove towards Paxton Correctional Services and stopped in bushes next to the road where a white Isuzu without registration numbers was waiting.

The men in the Isuzu then allegedly helped the first two suspects to load all 34 parcels to the value of R8 000 into the Isuzu and drove off.

The complainant mentioned that it was not the first time that he was robbed by suspects using a white Isuzu bakkie.

Only a few hours before this incident a bread delivery van was robbed.

The delivery man told police he was forced into the delivery van and the robbers drove to Santa squatter camp where two other suspects allegedly joined them.

They broke open the safe in the van with a crowbar and a hammer and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the police in Vosman at 079 891 4822.
