Youth enjoys street soccer competition initiated by Steve ‘West’ Luvuno

Dribble, pass and score – players brought their A-game to the field.

The Care West Foundation has done it again, and this time it was a street soccer tournament.

The soccer for young players was held at the Pleasure Park, near Luthuli Street in Lynnville on Saturday, May 28.

The aim of the tournament was for the youngsters to enjoy themselves while doing something positive, according to the initiator of the tournament, Steve ‘West’ Luvuno.

The stars of tomorrow were able to show their creative skills with the soccer ball and were confident with the ball during matches.

Street soccer tournament organiser Steve ‘West’ Luvuno celebrating with the winners of the tournament, Emalahleni United beat Black Bees 3-2.

The six aside matches started in the morning and ended later; it was well attended by people.

Luvuno has done similar projects in the past by donating food and uniforms, rebuilding homes, hosting lunches for disabled children, giving food parcels and hosting sports tournaments.

In the finals, Emalahleni United beat Black Bees 3-2 to be awarded the trophy.
