Two ‘nigh-light’ robberies with firearms in KwaGuqa.

Two men allegedly became victims of robberies with firearms in two separate incidents in KwaGuqa.

Robbers have crossed the borders of working day shift, and the community will do well in remembering to keep their guard up at night.

Vosman Police received two reports and opened two cases of robbery with firearms which allegedly occurred on May 30 and May 31 respectively.

In respect of the first complaint, it is alleged that on May 30 at about 01:00, a man working in driving services received a call from a client to be picked up in Ackerville and taken to Extension 7 in KwaGuqa.

It is believed that he picked up two males upon his arrival at the destination.

He drove with them to Extension 7 and when they neared a shopping complex, the two males told him that their destination was reached and pointed him with a firearm, instructing him to occupy the back seat with his face down.

One of the men allegedly drove the car to some bushes where they met with others, and they took his belongings and bank cards.

It is also believed that an undisclosed amount was withdrawn with the cards.

No arrests have been made, and the case is being investigated.

As to the second complaint, it is alleged that on May 31, at about 20:40, a man was leaving a local tuck shop in KwaGuqa when two males approached him.

It is believed that one of the men pointed him with a firearm and demanded his car key.

Allegedly, the two men only took the complainant’s car key and wallet, but left him with his vehicle.

No arrests have been made, and the case is being investigated.
