Co-founder of Miss and Mr Witbank High Schools making great waves

Karabo encouraging more young men in eMalahleni to join pageants

Karabo Mathaila brings fresh new talent and ideas to the pageant space. The 22-year-old turns heads and inspires his peers to do well at all times.

Mathaila was crowned as an ambassador for Mr Face of Devotion 2021. Since his crowning, he has gathered young people who are passionate about the pageant industry.

Along with two other pageant colleagues, Joshua Sithole and Innocentia Mahlangu, they managed to create Miss and Mr Witbank High Schools 2022.

The pageant was hosted on March 19 and has inspired many young people who are in high schools to join.

The young talent completed his studies for a diploma in Network Systems in 2019 and ventured into the pageant industry immediately after.

Karabo said that he was inspired by Reginald Makeng who is a previous winner of Face of Devotion.

“Being in pageantry is not easy, it is a great opportunity, but it is also tough. As an ambassador, I don’t only represent the pageant, but the whole province which is a privilege,” said Karabo.

Karabo has been involved in many projects that help those that are less fortunate by giving them clothes from home. He wishes to do many other projects to address issues that the people of eMalahleni are facing, especially those who are unable to feed their families.

“We will be hosting more pageants for Miss and Mr Witbank High Schools annually as this one was a great success,” concluded Karabo.
