Nkangala Athletic Academy athletes on track to achieve their best

Nkangala Athletic Academy producing athletes who are capable of anything.

Nkangala Athletic Academy (NAA) went to Gauteng to test their strength in the Motsepe Foundation Race to Quality 10 and 21.1km.

The race was held at the Marks Park Sports Complex in Emmarentia, Johannesburg on Saturday, March 12, according to the chairperson of the Nkangala Athletic Academy, Emmanuel Mabaso.

“The junior boys ran their personal best in the 10km and managed to come back home with two podiums finishes. The junior category was won by Jason Bowers of Nedbank Vaal triangle, North West province followed by Hope Matshiya in position two and Clemond Komane in position three. The seniors were represented by Moses Mahlangu in the 21.1km and in the 10km Mandla Nkabinde, Jan Nkabinde in 40+ and me the 40+ as well,” said Mabaso.

Mabaso added to say that Hope Matshiya will furthermore be competing in the 5 000m South African School Athletic championships to be held in Germiston on Saturday, March 19.

“I am happy to see Nkangala Athletic Academy producing athletes who are capable to compete nationally without any sponsorship, we really need financial support to do more,” added Mabaso.
