Witbank Rugby Club won one, lost another
The men from Witbank stood up very well against the big powerful teams of Vereeniging.
With the first rugby match played on home soil again, the rugby players from eMalahleni were excited to be back on the field along with their supporters.
On Saturday, March 5 Witbank Rugby Club played against the rugby club from Vereeniging.
Brillant brutal rugby mixed with more than enough flair and running rugby was played by both clubs.
The second team won a thrilling game 28 – 27 and the first team narrowly lost 16 – 8 in a very hard fought contest.
“We are very pleased with how our team’s preparations is going so far for the upcoming season and can not wait to have the town back to support the club in full force,” said Rudo Marx the Witbank Rugby Club manager.
