Wall of remembrance erected for bicycle rider who dies in accident

Bicycle rider hit off her bicycle dies later in hospital, wall of remembrance placed at accident scene

After a tragic accident that occurred, a wall of remembrance was erected in remembrance of the late Ms Susan Dannler, (54) who was killed after a car hit her off her bicycle.

Her life partner of 16 years, Mr André van der Berg witnessed the accident on Wednesday morning, January 19 when he and Susan were out riding and training for the Mpumalanga Championships

A car from nowhere collided with Susan, flinging her into the air.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later passed away.

At the accident scene in Bela Bela, a wall of remembrance with a plaque and photo has been erected to remember this remarkable woman.

“I still miss her dearly, every day. It still remains a nightmare,” said André.
