The brutality of humanity increases after two victims were almost killed

The police found the truck still on fire as it is believed that a petrol bomb was used to set the truck on fire.

These days, violence is increasing on the roads of eMalahleni and is starting to become an easy outcome to people.

On January 9 a resident was allegedly shot after he approached a man that was about to pick up hitchhikers on the Old Middelburg Road (R555).

It is alleged that the victim saw a Toyota Avanza picking up people and approached the driver to tell him that it is not allowed to pick up hitchhikers and that was when the driver allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the victim.

He was rushed to Witbank Hospital with a serious injury where Witbank SAPS took a statement. The case is still being investigated.

In another incident that occurred on January 14 just after midnight a man was badly burned after the truck he was driving was lit on fire, near a local mine.

On the police arrival, the man was already transported to a hospital due to his injuries.

The police found the truck still on fire as it is believed that a petrol bomb was used to set the truck on fire.

The case is still being investigated by Witbank SAPS, as the victim was not able to state what happened at the time of the incident, due to his injuries.
