Delivery went wrong, car keys and cell phone stolen

Sitting in a stationary vehicle is not always safe.

A delivery man was carrying on with his normal daily duties delivering parcels when he found himself in an unexpected situation.

On Monday, January 10 at approximately 11:20 the complainant alleged that he parked his blue Toyota in the parking lot at a shopping centre.

He was there to do a delivery and was on the phone with his client at that stage.

The complainant recalls that his windows were halfway down when he noticed two unknown men approach his vehicle.

One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and come to the driver’s side and the other suspect stood next to the first suspect.

The suspects instructed the complainant to open the door otherwise they would shoot him.

The suspects then pushed the complainant into the grey Volkswagen Polo and drove off with him to an unknown place.

Once the suspects dropped off the complainant at the unknown location and left him there.

The complainant later went back to his vehicle and found that money inside the car was taken, his cell phone and vehicle keys.

A case of robbery with a firearm was opened up at Witbank Police Station.
