Food and other goodies presented at Ka-Nala

Nolwazi Daycare Centre received a scooter, colouring books, and crayons.

Some organisations in Ka-Nala received early Christmas gifts from the office of the executive mayor.

The organisations were presented with the donations at their centre on Thursday, December 9. Two of the centres, Joyous Multipurpose Centre and Nolwazi Daycare Centre received gifts.

Ms Pretty Nkosi of Joyous Multipurpose Centre says the centre offers the following services:

Old age home, gym, vulnerable or orphanage children as well as people with HIV and Aids, music studio for young people, dancing, sewing classes, catering, traditional cooking, uniforms and school bursary.

The centre received plates, a comfort line exercise bike, paint, four sewing machines and four big pots. Ms Nkosi thanked Glencore and the office of the executive mayor.

Other centres and some families received food parcels from the executive mayor’s office.
