A 28-year old female and a 39-years old man will appear before Witbank Magistrate’s Court today (Friday, December 17) on charges of murder.
The duo was arrested earlier this week in connection with the alleged murder of the late Sergeant Joseph Christopher Kutu of the SAPS Witbank Tactical Response Team who was fatally shot in his house in July.
One of the suspects is the late police officer’s wife and a man who is believed to be an accomplice.
Information was received by the police about the whereabouts of the suspect who was wanted for the alleged house robbery and murder of the police officer.
The operation was conducted at a house in Siyabuswa.
The suspect was found and arrested on Wednesday, December 15 in the back room of the house where he was renting.
According to police the wife of the late police officer is allegedly linked to the case and she was arrested on Thursday, December 16.
The investigation continues.
