Festive market money put to good use

Money from the festive market was used to host a party for the elderly.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Ben Fleur Boulevard festive market has taken place.

The market took place on Friday, December 3 at Ben Fleur Boulevard in the parking area.

“The market is a very important calendar event for Ben Fleur Boulevard as the money raised from the stalls booking is used to host a Christmas party for those in need,” says Monica Joao from Ben Fleur Boulevard Marketing.

Linzey Leiman and Zenardi van Staden had a stall at the Ben Fleur Boulevard Festive Market.

“The last four years the money was used to host a party for the local orphanages, but this year the elderly will have a turn,” said Joao.

There were 50 exhibitors at this year’s market; it was the biggest one to date.

“We would like to thank each and every exhibitor for taking part in our event, without them, our Christmas party would not be possible,” continued Joao.

The party for the elderly group took place on Wednesday, December 8.  Keep your eyes on the Ben Fleur Boulevard social media pages for more information.
