From living in a substation to ‘heaven’

Joshua is very grateful for a place to stay as he was relying on handouts from people to stay alive.

Joshua Ncongwane (51) says he cannot remember when he started to live on the streets.

He is originally from Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal and used to work as a spray painter in KwaGuqa in Extension 11 but lost his job.

Joshua is very grateful for a place to stay as he was relying on handouts from people to stay alive.

“I am tired of the rains and the danger of living on the streets. I want to start a new life,” he told WITBANK NEWS.
