Family looking for eyewitnesses for the accident on N4 near Balmoral

According to the family, there were people standing on the bridge when the accident happened and saw everything

The Mostert family is looking for eyewitnesses to come forward regarding what actually happened on the N4 highway when a tragic accident occurred.

The accident happened on Friday, November 12 where three vehicles and one truck were involved in a collision that claimed the life of Mr Johannes Mostert (36).

There have been various stories doing the rounds regarding the accident and different versions of what took place on that day.

Mr Mostert was traveling in a maroon vehicle from eMalahleni towards Pretoria when his vehicle all of a sudden went across the highway into oncoming traffic where he collided with a white Toyota Hilux bakkie.

Soon after that collision, a white Kia collided into the back of the Hilux.

According to the police report, the truck hit the back left-hand side of Mostert’s vehicle which sent him into oncoming traffic.

According to the family, there were people standing on the bridge when the accident happened and saw everything.

“Could these people or other motorists who saw the accident happen, please come forward?” said Colonel Frans Jooste.

Mostert succumbed to his injuries in Witbank Provincial Hospital.
