With gym members from all over the province, Shandukani Wellness and Bootcamp made sure that they left members out of breath.

The organization held an event called the Mpumalanga Aerobics Movement which is set to help people exercise and keep fit while having fun.

The event was held on Saturday, November 13 at the Mountain of Prayer in Ogies.

Gym members from Shandukani Wellness and other fitness lovers from parts of the province came to sweat and exercise. The event was also hosted to celebrate Shandukani Wellness and Bootcamp that is led by coach Mokgadi and Bakie Kubeka.

The guest trainers were:

Simphiwe Kubhayi and Zamaxolo Ntuli from Zama Fitness Centre in Malelane, Ciwe Makama from Body Under Construction (eMalahleni), Vusi Ndlangamandla from eKasi Lami First (eMalahleni), Khaya Makwetu, Thandi Ramodingwane from Cava lePhysic (Mbombela), Mathapelo from Me Fitness (kwaMhlanga), Joga Nkosi – Lifestyle Pinnacles (eMalahleni), Happy Pilusa from (eMalahleni), Mxolisi Myeni – MGTS (Richards Bay), Louise Maseko from Hoga (Mbombela), Vusi Vilakazi – Planet Fitness (eMalahleni) and many other instructors gave different exercising techniques.

The aim of the whole event was for people to have fun while keeping fit. Many young people and children had also joined the fun day where they got to make new friends. This was also encouraging to the older participants, as they got to spend their morning in a good way.

The attendees came prepared and ready to exercise, bringing a bottle of water, a towel and great energy to the event. Mokgadi said she was pleased by the number of people who attended. She also mentioned that she was pleased to see people from outside eMalahleni joining this event.

“Our aim is to help the community with workouts in order to regain their confidence,” Bakie added.

The coaches taught exercises that support the core, balance, building muscles and weight loss. More bootcamps will be organized for the communities and donations will be distributed soon.
