Stage two loadshedding to be implemented

Buffer, Clewer, Ogies, Phola and GaNala Substation will be affected by loadshedding.

Regrettably, Stage two loadshedding will be implemented starting at 11:00.

A unit at Lethabo and Majuba were delayed in returning to service.

A unit at Tutuka tripped.

Three Kendal units were taken off and it is anticipated that the fourth and remaining unit will also be shut down.

The conveyor belts supplying these units are currently not running due to a power fault.

No coal is reaching the station at this point.

“We unfortunately do expect the load shedding stage to escalate into the weekend as soon as we have a better understanding of when these problems will be resolved. An official response will follow,” is the word from Eskom’s mediadesk.

In Emalahleni the load shedding schedule is

Buffer Substation will be affected from 15:00 until 17:30.

Clewer, Ogies and Phola Substation will be affected from 17:00 until 19:30.

GaNala Substation will be affected from 19:00 until 21:30.

Tomorrow, November 6

Doornpoort,Rietspruit and KwaGuqa will be affected from 01:00 until 03:30.

GaNala and KwaGuqa Substation will be affected from 03:00 until 05:00.

Grobler Substation will be affected from 05:00 until 07:30.
