Make a woman feel worthy this month

Make a woman feel worthy this month by donating sanitary needs.

The founder of the South African Community Crime Watch driven ‘Dignity Bag Project’, Maureen Scheepers is calling on all businesses, beauty salons, and individuals to donate toiletries for women this month to celebrate Women’s Month.

This project consists of a bag that has been made up of toiletries and daily necessities for the homeless and less fortunate women of eMalahleni.

“We aim to restore the dignity of these women and assist them with their sanitary needs while living on the streets or in poverty. We also give these bags to the women that are rescued from horrible circumstances and taken to a safe house or rehabilitation centre. There is a huge need for this resource in our city,” said Scheepers.

If anyone would like to contribute with donations towards these bags they can contact Maureen Scheepers on 082 565 6770 for further arrangements.

They require bulk donations for the following items:

Each bag contains:

  • 1 x roll-on
  • 1 x spray
  • 1 x small pack of pads
  • 1 x toothbrush
  • 1 x toothpaste
  • 1 x shampoo
  • 1 x bar of soap
  • 1 x nail clipper
  • 1 x washcloth
  • 1 x body lotion
  • 1 x pack of wet wipes

“We also call on all seamstresses to donate the tote bags that we use to stock up with these necessaries. A bag that can be used as a handbag after the toiletries are removed is also a special addition to the project. Measurements of these bags can be provided by contacting the listed number,” Scheepers told WITBANK NEWS

Help them restore the dignity of our women in our community, one bag at a time.
