Are you registered to vote?

If you are not registered correctly where you reside you will be unable to vote in this municipal election

The Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) has confirmed the national registration weekend for the local government municipal elections are scheduled for next weekend.

You can go and verify your details on July 31 from 08:00 to 17:00 and August 1 from 08:00 to 17:00.

If you are not registered correctly where you reside you will be unable to vote in this municipal election.

Voting stations in Ward 20 are as follows:

  • Panorama Primary School.
  • Tent at open space opposite Clearwater Estates, gate 1.
  • Eileen Street in Jackaroo Park.
  • Tent at open space at the Technical High School in Beyers Street.
  • Chrisma Combined School Jackaroo plots on R555 old Middelburg road.

You need to take a bar-coded ID document, or Smart ID card, or a temporary ID certificate not older than six months.

“Residents are encouraged to visit voting stations to ascertain that their details are correct on the voters roll and to reregister if their residential address is incorrect or they are registered at the wrong voting station,” said Ward 20’s councillor, Roy Cronje.
