When will the water problems in eMalahleni come to an end? The water problems in eMalahleni keep on raising concerns for our municipality.

On Friday, June 11 the El Paso community members closed down the R544, also known as the Bethal road.

It is alleged that the municipal water truck did not deliver water to the El Paso community, leaving them without water for five days.

Police arrived on the scene of the strike to keep everything under control and keep motorists away from the strike for their safety.

The community then asked Legend Logistics, a truck company close to the community for water on the day of the strike. It was not long before a Legend Logistics truck arrived to deliver water to the community.

Shortly after the water was delivered, police assisted to open the road again for motorists and stayed on the scene to monitor the situation.

Lebohang Mofokeng, Manager of Communications of Emalahleni Local Municipality could not have been reached for a quote before print.
