High increase in house robberies in certain areas in
Brigadier Sifiso Cele asked the community to be vigilant and alert.
House robberies in eMalahleni are a normal occurrence.
What is concerning at this stage is that there have been numerous cases in one area.
The most recent incident occurred on Sunday, April 25 at approximately 03:30 in Umtiza Street in Tasbet Park.
The complainant alleged that she was sleeping at her house when she heard a noise; she woke up to check what the noise was.
That is when she noticed someone running outside.
She ran to lock her door, but the key broke in the haste to make sure the door was locked.
The suspect then pushed the door and he then gained access into the house, where he started hitting her.
The station commander from Witbank Police Station Brigadier Sifiso Cele said; “there is an increase in house robberies the past month especially in the Tasbet Park areas.”
Brigadier Cele asked the community to be vigilant and alert.
