If all goes well the water will soon return to some parts of eMalahleni

If all goes well water should return soon for some areas

Some areas in eMalahleni should have water in the next four hours.
“We are aware of the ongoing water outages and we are doing everything practically possible to remedy the situation,” said Mr Lebo Mofokeng municipal spokesperson.
He explained shutting down the water supply to Model Park and Jackaroo Park yesterday did not yield the results they expected it to.
Since yesterday until now Point C reservoir has just improved with 5%
The bulk feeder line to Model Park and Jackackaroo Park bulk feeder line will be reopened at 20:00 tonight.
The plan is to channel all the water to Point C.
“If Point B is isolated we should be able to run two pumps uninterrupted to Point C.”
In order to strike the balance in all the reservoirs, the main water plant must produce up to its maximum.
The main concern is that all three water schemes combined do not meet the daily demand.
“The plan is to keep Point B isolated up until the level of Point C improves.”
Using water sparingly during this difficult time will assist the system to recover quickly.
Areas affected by the shutting down of Point B are as follows: Leyland, Lynnville, Ackerville, a portion of Thushanang, Clewer, Transalloys, Kwa Guqa X2, 7, 10, 11 and 18, Empumelelweni extensions, Tasbet Park X2, 3 and 6 (Uthingo park), Duvha Park RDP houses, Duvha Park X2, portions of Witbank X16, Witbank X25 and 41, Klipfontein industrial area, Witbank CBD, Witbank X1 to 12, a portion of Die Heuwel Proper, Die Heuwel X8, Saveways Crescent Shopping Centre, a portion of Del Judor Proper and Del Judor X1.
