Classic was the first to have a shot at goal and the ball went wide
Classic Lions have been crowned the Emalahleni Easter Challenge champions after beating Young Lions in a very tight soccer final.
The games were organised by Trevor Dube of Sports Wrap Foundation, started on Good Friday and ended on Easter Monday, April 5.
Eight teams participated in the tournament and were divided into two streams with the two top teams proceeding to the semi-finals and the finals.
The tournament was well supported according to Dube.
One of the players has been scouted by Mamelodi Sundowns.
The game started at a fast tempo with Classic relying on the long ball while Young Lions played the short passes ball game.
Classic was the first to have a shot at goal and the ball went wide.
Young Lions put Classic under pressure with their attacks but Classic had a tight defence.
Classic was awarded a penalty after a Young Lions handle the ball inside the penalty area.
They score and lead 1-0 in the first few minutes of the first half.
