Family of four – funeral today

In the car driving in the front was Claudia’s parents, Mr Pedro and Ms Belinda Tenreiro and her grandmother Ms Ina Schoeman. In an interview with WITBANK NEWS Schoeman said they left Kriel around 17:30.
“Leané wanted to drive with us, but Claudia insisted she drives with them. At Piet Retief Claudia phoned Belinda and asked to stop to grab something to eat. It was very busy, and they ended up buying chips only. Belinda still said a prayer before we drove on.”
Ina said they discussed the accidents alongside the road as they counted three accidents.
“The fourth accident was ours ….”
Ina said when she saw a pair of lights coming towards them, she had no idea that it would change their lives forever. The Land Cruiser then collided with the right-hand side of the Jeep that was being towed by Pedro, causing the tow hitch to be sheared off and the Jeep to roll over onto its side. In the process, it lost one wheel.
“The bakkie swerved a little and Pedro said it was because he had to slightly veer for the oncoming Land Cruiser. But when he looked in the rearview mirror, he noticed that the Jeep on the A-frame was gone.”
The Land Cruiser then collided head-on into the Clio. The car came to a standstill several metres further away. The impact caused the Land Cruiser to roll onto its side. The driver of the Land Cruiser fled the scene.

As an afterthought, Ina added, “God knew how much Clive, Claudia, Leané and Aiden loved each other. He knew they would not be able to live without one another that is why He took them all.” Belinda said, “Justice must be done. The man took the lives of four innocent people. Does he not have a conscience? How do you leave the accident scene?” Clive and Claudia celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on March 1.
