Murder suspect appears before court
The suspect appeared on Monday, March 8 after an incident on Sunday, March 7 at approximately 01:00, at a place where people were enjoying themselves according to Vosman Police.
A 29-year-old man appeared before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court facing a murder charge.
The suspect appeared on Monday, March 8 after an incident on Sunday, March 7 at approximately 01:00, at a place where people were enjoying themselves according to Vosman Police.
The information received was that both the victim and the suspect were at the entertainment place when a friend to the suspect allegedly bumped into the victim’s car which led to a heated argument between the two. It is further alleged that the suspect separated the two men who were arguing and that led to a secondary argument.
It is further alleged that the suspect got into his vehicle and the victim knocked on the window of the suspect’s car and that is when the victim was fatally shot.
Police as well as medical personnel were summoned to the scene however the victim was certified dead on the scene.
The suspect was arrested later as he was not found at the scene.
The case has been postponed to March 12 for a formal bail application.
