Don’t trust the delivery man
A point of sale skimming device landed a delivery in very hot water.
The 35-year-old Patrick Kananga Mukandla was sentenced last week for fraud.
The delivery man who was arrested when complaints of bankcard skimming surfaced was found guilty and sentenced in Witbank Magistrate Court.
“Mukandla was employed by a well-known fastfood take away as a delivery motorcycle driver. In November 2019 suspicions were raised by clients suspecting that Mukandla might be skimming their bank cards when making payments during the delivery of the orders,” said Capt Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi, spokesperson from the Hawks.
