Protest because “women were held in walk-in freezer” after allegedly shoplifting

Information was received that EFF members are planning to protest on September 16 at 07:00.
According to the information, the EFF alleges that two female customers were arrested last week for shoplifting by security personnel working at the store.
It is further alleged that the two women were held in a walk-in freezer for an unknown time.
One woman was allegedly later charged for shoplifting but, according to the EFF, the second lady passed away due to being kept in the freezer.
Pathology at Witbank SAPS indicated that no female bodies were received since last week.
Witbank Police are currently on the scene and monitoring the proceedings.
