Robbers kill guard and wounds woman
Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident
Two innocent victims were gunned down by robbers on foot in Tasbet Park, one of the victims, unfortunately, lost his life as the other victim is still fighting for her life.
On the evening of August 7, this tragic shooting changed the lives of two families forever.
“The male victim was killed in the shooting and the female victim was wounded in the abdomen and upper leg. Both victims were shot in a grey Kia Rio vehicle but there were two vehicles on the scene. One vehicle belonged to the female victim and one belonged to the male victim,” Spokesperson of Witbank Police Station, Cpt Eddie Hall confirmed.
After further investigation, it was found that the man that was killed was a guard of an alarm response service in eMalahleni.
“I was passing by and saw a commotion between men standing next to the vehicle where two people were sitting inside. As I drove on I suddenly saw two men running towards an intersection in Kiepersol Street. I was alone so I was afraid to get involved,” an anonymous source told WITBANK NEWS.
Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
