Emalahleni Men of Destiny needs volunteers

Pastor Mahlangu says a lot of children grow up without both parents and lack of proper parenting

The Emalahleni Men of Destiny under the leadership of Pastor Ignatius Mahlangu are in need of volunteers, as they believe that 98% of children need to be protected from drugs, alcohol and teenage pregnancy, sexual activities, crime, violence and HIV/Aids through the power of the Holy Spirit.

“The Holy Spirit that lives in us (Timothy 1:14) ‘Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us, keep the good things that have been entrusted to you.’ This is an invitation from the Emalahleni Men of Destiny. We need people, youth and aduls to teach the curriculum called ‘Crossroads’ in all eMalahleni wards, even at schools if possible. The curriculum consist of five (5) units and 30 lessons. It is a tool to help parents and to give guidance and to help young people to internalize positive values and belief which can guide them to good decision makers, foster communication between adolescents and adults,” said Pastor Mahlangu.

Pastor Mahlangu says the curriculum focuses on what it means to be a person of good character and to live a healthy lifestyle and have good relationships.

Pastor Mahlangu says a lot of children grow up without both parents and lack of proper parenting.

He encouraged parents to teach their children how they should live and they will remember it all their lives.

He also says that parents are the first teachers of their children.

“Let’s join hands together as the community and parents because your child is my child and my child is your child for the benefit of our children. The crossroads manual programme cost R500 each,” added Pastor Mahlangu.
