Thursday fight night by ABC Camp

A boxing promotion will be staged at Phola Community Hall and will be staged by the famous ABC Camp.

May 29 is the date and Phola Community Hall is the venue to be, to witness boxers making their mark in the fist game.

Four boxers from the ABC Camp will be participating in the tournament. Macsood ‘Hammer’ Sando from Malawi will be fighting in the lightweight division over six rounds (61,24 kg).

Akon Dibi from Phola will be fighting in the welterweight division (66.6 kg) over six rounds as well.
Xolani Mgidi from Phola as well will be fighting at welterweight (66.6 kg) over four rounds.

Caiphus Manale from Siyabuswa, will be fighting in the junior featherweight (55.35kg) division over four rounds.

All four boxers are well prepared for the upcoming fight according to their trainers. “Sando is planning to make a turn at home in Malawi a week after the tournament since he does not want to take negative reports at home before the fight, hence is working extremely hard and very smart in preparation for the his pro debut in the country. I believe his punching power will see him through the fight,” said Lawrence Ngobeni his trainer.

Caiphus Manale also is believed to be doing good at the gym in training in preparation for the fight. His trainer believes that he has the capabilities see him through the fight and be named the best boxer of the tournament.

“Another boxer, Osea Mosehla is also working very hard in the gym as he prepares for the finals to turn pro in September. There is still a lot we should work on. What I like about him is that he has the heart of a lion, he is a future champion,” added Ngobeni.
