Black Bees cruse all the way to be crowned the champions of the Umlilo Wevangeli Youth Day Soccer Tournament commemorating June 16.

In the finals of the tournament, Black Bees played against Real Ovies at the games held at the Lynnville Stadium on Monday, June 17.

The ten team’s soccer tournament ended with five teams to play each to determine the two teams for the finals. Black Bees had beaten Young Masters to qualify for the finals while Ovies had to play two games against Lekazi Masters and Vikings.

They beat Vikings 2-0 and beat Young Masters 2-0 as well to face Black Bees.

In the finals Ovies started strong but one could tell as the game progresses that their legs could not carry them going forward.

Bees had the best chance as they strike twice in the first few minutes of the game.

While Bees were on the attack their first strike went over the bar and their second strike was well saved.

In the second half Bees gained confidence as the game progresses.

Bees had a corner kick which was nearly converted into a goal but they were rewarded when they were awarded a penalty.

They scored to make it 1-0. Ovies tried their best to equalise but it was never to be.

Bees scored their second goal to seal the match.

Ovies had a chance but their shot was blocked.
