A hijacking case was opened by a man after five unknown suspects took his car.
The man was driving from Klarinet Extension 7 to Extension 4 on Tuesday, May 7 around 20:00, when two unknown men approached him and allegedly fired two shots.
The suspects allegedly pulled the victim out of his white Isuzu bakkie and put him in the back of the bakkie.
Thereafter, they tied his hands with a rope and drove with him to bushes in Verena road.
Three other suspects arrived in another vehicle and one of them loosened the rope.
They took the victim’s car and left.
After they were gone, the man walked to the nearest house and they helped him to call his wife.
All five suspects are unknown.
