Audeamus making a difference

Thank you to Samancor Ferrochrome and numerous parents and neighbours who contributed to this project

Audeamus Private School believes that a person needs to make a difference wherever you are planted.

That’s exactly what happened on Saturday April 6. With the support received from residents, most potholes got a new, temporary facelift.

Thank you to Samancor Ferrochrome and numerous parents and neighbours who contributed to this project.

As they could not add any permanent material to the potholes, they laid a cement walkway inside the school grounds.

We are excited that Emalahleni Local Municipality indicated that they will see that our children have a better road leading to the school.

Audeamus offers high quality, individual education and put the interest of parents and learners first.

Mr Kingdom Mabuza, municipal spokesperson said that residents are welcome to have such initiatives where they fix their own potholes, but not after consulting with the municipality.

“The director welcomes such initiatives but we need to explain the procedures to them and give them guidance. We need to ensure that it is done correctly,” Mabuza concluded.
