Robbers target a business on the old Middelburg road

A security guard was stunned when uninvited guests surprised him at a business on the old Middelburg Road.

He reported that on January 29 he was doing his patrols when someone grabbed him on the shoulder and ordered him to lie down.

He was on the floor and alleged that he saw six other males pointing firearms at him, tied his hands with cable ties and left him there.

He alleged that he lay there until the next morning when a colleague found him and untied him.

The victim told police that the suspects gained entry through the palisades and two trucks were stolen along with two truck batteries.

The case is currently still under investigation.

The victim was not available for comment by time of going to print.
