Two victims of firearm robberies

The suspects searched them and they took his cell phone and money

A 26-year-old and a 35-year-old were robbed at different places and on different days.

The first victim was robbed on Friday, January 18 at about 23:30. He reported that he was walking from church with his neighbours.

While they were almost home, he saw three suspects coming towards them and they passed them.

They continued with their conversation and after a few minutes they were pointed with firearms and the suspects demanded money and cellphones.

The suspects searched them and they took his cell phone and money.

The suspects then fired a shot pointing towards his legs, ordered them to ran and he got shot.

They managed to ran to the nearest house and was taken to the clinic for medical treatment where he was transferred to a hospital.

His cell phone, wallet and cash are valued at R760.

The other robbery was on the Balmoral Road on Saturday, January 19 at about 14:40.

The 35-year-old victim said he was driving on the road when he noticed a white Toyota Venture without registration number trying to stop him.

They forced him off the road and three suspects searched him.

They took a Mossberry 9mm pistol with one magazine and eight live rounds.

The value of all the items taken is R5 000.

The suspects then drove away in their vehicle.

No one has been arrested in both cases.
