An alleged road rage incident, led to a shooting in Highveld Park.

On November 23 a firearm was discharged in above mentioned area following an altercation over littering.

The man, driving a Volkswagen Polo discharged his firearm out of alleged anger.

The incident was reported to the Witbank Police Station as well as members from the Highveld Park Neighbourhood watch group were informed and the man was apprehended shortly after the incident.

The suspect was released on a R1000 bail on 24 November and appeared in the Witbank Magistrates court on the 26th for a formal bail application were his bail was extended till 10 January 2019 for his next appearance.

The investigation is still ongoing.
