*A local fire fighter said that houses do not only burn down in winter, due to the cold and residents try to keep warm. He said that as a general observation he’s made numerous times, things like illegal connections, bypassing of prepaid meters and many electrical problems can cause a fire in a house. He said that residents should make sure about the wiring in their homes before they buy or rent, as this can be a very high fire hazard.
