Yesterday, Tuesday 21 August three houses and one business premises were set alight by the alleged angry Waya Waya Movement members.
In one of the houses that were torched, there was a car in the garage that was also burned.
The situation started at Kendal Power Station yesterday morning at about 09:00 whereby Waya Waya Movement took three busses to the Power Station to voice out their demands and while they were busy singing near the entrance they were attacked by another group allegedly from Kendal Farms, Iraq and Ogies.

They were assaulted with Pangas, Axes, Steel Rods and Knopkiris.
Plus/ minus 30 to 50 Waya Waya Movement members were injured and some were seriously injured and taken to the Hospital.
The incident of the burning of the houses took place yesterday between 18:00 and 22:00.
The seven day period that the residents of Phola gave the major is now over and they are supposed to meet with the major and the MEC today.
