He became a victim of the hijacking statistics as he got hijacked on the N12 Highway on March 28.

Ramohlokoane wakes up sad every morning since the horrific incident happened to him.

“Although I can’t turn back the time or change anything about being hijacked, I can only use my story to warn other road users,” Ramohlokoane said sadly.

“I will advise the other road users to keep doors locked all the time it doesn’t matter how far you are going. Once you get in the car lock the doors,” he gladly advised fellow residents.


The hijacked vehicle of Mr David Ramohlokoane that was recovered in Soweto, Gauteng.

Residents need to observe the surrounding as they travel.

“If you see people standing at the entrance of Watermeyer Street at the N12 freeway, you better pass. Don’t slow down for any person that is allegedly looking for a lift,” he warned.

“The part of the hijacking that keeps on playing in my head is where the suspects jumped in my vehicle and started being aggressive towards me. There were no ways I could defend myself and that is when you feel worthless,” Ramohlokoane concluded.
