The last thing you expect when you come home after a night out is to be tied up and threatened by complete strangers.
On Friday, March 9 a couple arrived at their house in Duvha Park at about 23:45. It is alleged that as they arrived two men were awaiting them.
“I went into the house and my boyfriend went to get his cigarettes in the car; that was when the two men kicked him so hard he fell to the ground.” said Miss Zama Khumalo.
The suspects then tied the couple up with their own shoelaces.

“If you move before we leave we will kill you,” was the instructions from one of the men while pointing a gun towards them.
The men then started to search the house for valuable belongings. They took a Huawei P8 Lite cell phone, a Samsung Grand Prime, a plasma TV, microwave oven and the DSTV decoder.
“They needed something to carry all of these items in so they also took the car keys and left with the car” stated Miss Khumalo.
The victims were left in the house. It is alleged that the robbers also took the house keys.
No arrests have been made yet but police are investigating the case.
