Man looking for another room after robbery

A man now has to make alternative plans to rent a room and get to work after robbers took everything he owns.

Mr Emmanuel Ndaba said he has no idea what the next few days has in store for him as his rent is due.

“We were asleep in the room we are renting in Tasbetpark 2 when we woke up because of a strange noise. My friend Joseph saw a man trying to get through the window and he attempted to stop the man from gaining entrance to our room,” Ndaba explained.

He said three other men came in. One was allegedly armed.

“He pointed the firearm at me and demanded our cell phones and searched the pockets of our jeans and took all the cash money we had. What concerns me is that the men then specifically asked for my tablet. How did they know I had a tablet?”

Ndaba said they suspect that a man renting in the same house could have something to do with the robbery.

Ndaba said he is now looking for another room to rent as it is not safe in the neighbourhood they live in.

Police are investigating the robbery.
