Owen is back in action

Mr Owen Wagner’s familiar face can be seen once again on Mandela Street as he blesses passers by in the mornings.

“I am back in the saddle today and looking forward to seeing people on the road again,” said Owen during his visit to Witbank News on September 11.

Owen is a missionary pastor working with Adults Protecting Children (APC).

APC, working hand in hand with Rata, started a school in MNS to teach children.
On August 16 Owen was mugged and assaulted on the construction grounds of the new baby rescue centre that was being erected.

Owen stands at the intersection of Mandela and Nita streets every morning blessing passers by.

“They thought I had church money on me, which I didn’t. One of the guys punched me in my navel which left me with internal bleeding,” said Owen.

He visited ePH’s clinic where he was diagnosed and referred to Witbank Hospital to undergo an operation.

“I said no. I trusted in God that he would heal me, which he did,” said Owen.

Now that he is back to full health, Owen is looking forward to meeting familiar faces on Mandela Road every morning as he raises a hand to bless passers by.
