Collision on R547 claims a life

The Kriel Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a head on collision occurred on the R547 near Ga-Nala.

The maroon Mahindra that was involved in an accident on Sunday, August 6 on the road near Ga-Nala.

The accident happened on Sunday, August 6 at about 20:40. The accident happened on the R547 between Ga-Nala and Thubelihle next to Dorsfontein mine where a maroon Mahindra bakkie collided head on with a silver Volkswagen Polo.

The silver Volkswagen Polo that was involed in a head on collision with the Mahindra.

The driver of the Mahindra was treated on scene and transported to the nearest hospital but the driver of the Volkswagen Polo was declared dead on scene.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and the police are still investigating.
