School children pay a visit to the police station

Recently one of the primary schools from KwaGuqa Extensions visited Vosman Police Station.

The primary school learners visited Vosman Police Station on Friday, May 19. According to Captain Klaas Maloka the emphasis was for the children to know their police station and report cases of abuse.


Brigadier Delisiwe Motha, Vosman station commander and Colonel One Thobejane, the detective commander of Vosman police Station hand over SAPS rulers to one of the schools from Empumelelweni.

The children were also given police toll free numbers such as 112 and 0860010111. The children were made to know the location of the police station and told not to receive anything from strangers.

Parents were urged to check children’s books, update their children about their safety and to visit their children’s schools and to know their children’s teachers.


June is Youth month and all the more reason to celebrate. Children from Buhlebenalo Pre-Primary School visited Witbank Police Station. There to welcome them was Capt Eddie Hall, Brig Sipho Mokwatlo and Sgt Janine Opperman.

The children were met at station by the new Vosman Police station commander, Brigadier Delisiwe Motha and Colonel One Thobejane, detective commander of Vosman Police Station.

“Raising a child requires the parent, teachers and the society,” noted Captain Maloka.
