Police arrested a man and shut down a drug laboratory operating in Vosman.

Drugs worth R290 172 were confiscated when police raided the shack on Wednesday, May 31.

The Crime Intelligence Gathering team together with the Witbank Cluster Task team acted on information by the public and clamped down on the house.

The teams confiscated drug manufacturing equipment and chemicals as well as Crystal meth, Methcathinone (CAT) and heroin.

According to Ms Zelda Makhubele, director of SANCA, they had 105 new cases in May.

“We have a growing problem and people should be aware that the numbers walking through our doors are increasing dramatically,” she said.
