CPF Committees sudden announcement

“We were not given any notice or even had a disciplinary appearance before the EXCO. It was bluntly announced on our Whatsapp group.”

“Evening everyone be informed that the EXCO tonight took a decision to expel from CPF, with immediate effect,” the CPF (Community Policing Forum) Chairperson, Mr Aaron Khumalo broadcasted this message.

On April 25 the EXCO (Executive Committee) of the CPF gathered at a meeting where they decided to dismiss six chairpersons of Sector 2. Khumalo said,

“The reason why we dismissed them was because they overstepped our CPF code of conduct.”

The members that were dismissed from their duty, protecting the community from crime, stated that they never signed a code of conduct and did not receive any reason for their dismissal, only this message from Khumalo;

“Evening everyone be informed that the EXCO tonight took a decision to expel from CPF, with immediate effect, the following people, David Wessels, Stanley White, Koos Farrel, Piet Wassenaar, Rudi Botha and Johan Swart. They are no longer part of the CPF and will not take part in any CPF activities. Hope you will find this in order.”

Khumalo added that this decision was not made by him but the whole Executive Committee.
Mr. Stanley White along with all the expelled chairpersons is still left in the dark over the whole dismissal and said,

“We were not given any notice or even had a disciplinary appearance before the EXCO. It was bluntly announced on our Whatsapp group.”

Before print, Khumalo did not say which count of the CPF code of conduct was over stepped.
