Three suspects were arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods after Gen Wilson Kekana came upon a suspicious vehicle.

On November 8, while performing visits to the various police stations, Gen Kekana saw a suspicious vehicle in the Ga-Nala area and contacted the Kriel Police to intervene.

A bakkie loaded with suspected stolen aluminium cabling was found in the Ga-Nala area.

On closer inspection of the vehicle it was found that there was a large amount of suspected stolen aluminium cabling in the rear of the bakkie. Three suspects, Lucky Hlaze (26), Ndabusukile Soko (36), and Innocent Mbambo (36) were taken into custody by police and appeared before the Kriel Magistrates Court.

They were released on bail of R500 each and are to reappear in court on November 15 pending further investigations.
This event ads to the successes in the area during Operation Thunderstorm.
