“Within a few minutes he came back to the till point armed with a firearm, then ordered me to open up the till,”

What seemed to be potential customers inside the shop were actually suspects that were waiting for the right moment.

The cashier at Springbok Liquor alleged that she was on duty on Friday, October 7 at 19:20 performing her duties when her colleague left her alone on the floor to take in the money for the day.

While she was busy in the shop six customers were busy going through the isles in the shop. Then three extra customers came into the shop.

The cashier noticed that one of the men wore a reflective jacket and the other two were wearing black jackets.
She recalls that the suspect wearing the reflective jacket followed her colleague to the storeroom then closed the door behind him.

“Within a few minutes he came back to the till point armed with a firearm, then ordered me to open up the till,” said the shocked cashier.

As soon as the till was open, one of the two suspects wearing a black jacket took an undisclosed amount of money from the till.
