On Thursday, December 18 at approximately 12:00 a community member posted on the Facbook page Report Witbank Crime that a unknown person in a white GTI Golf with the registration FJV 148 MP drove off with fuel without paying for it at the Total garage in Mandela Street.
A report came through on the Witbank911 channel that the vehicle was spotted in the area of Ext.8.
With a quick response team and an apparent chase the man came to a standstill when he collided with a tree.
He was apprehended and arrested.
