War against drugs and teenage pregnancy

Emalahleni Men of Destiny have declared war against drugs and teenage pregnancy. Emalahleni is the second highest drug city in South Africa.

Emalahleni Men of Destiny is inviting all young people of eMalahleni, girls and boys, to attend a Youth Imbizo Dialogue Against Drugs and Teenage Pregnancy scheduled to take place at Marekane. There will be drama, poetry and speeches presented on the day.

“As Men of Destiny we feel embarrassed and we believe every man who has a child or children will join this effort. It is also biblical that children belong to man and many of them called after their father’s surname. (Psalm 12 7-5) ‘Happy is the man who has many arrows he will never be defeated’ therefore everything you own, you are also responsible for it. It is the responsibility of every father to protect and take care of his children. Our children need love and encouragement.”

Men of Destiny appeal to all men whose sons and daughters are involved in drugs to join so that they can help them to withdraw their children from drugs. The bible says: “Blessing to those who are peacemakers”.

Men of Destiny also indicated that teenage pregnancy is a big challenge in that the more children bear children out of marriage, the more criminals, drugs and poverty increase.

The organisation feels that older women should stand up and help young girls.
“We are appealing to our lovely and unique women, who are special creation from God, to please join us in the campaign. We know as Men of Destiny that raising children alone as women is so difficult.”

The campaign will take place at Extension 16 (Marikane) on September 20 starting at 10:00 till 16:00. There will be a march from Extension 5 garage starting at 08:00, all young people are invited to attend.
